Site Online Learning scooped four major awards at LearnX Awards 2020

Our team at Site Online Learning was thrilled to know that the annual LearnX awards pushed through on their ninth year of recognising the talent and efforts in the innovative online learning industry. With the unexpected turn of events the current pandemic has brought us, our team spirit was lifted with the recognition and awards we have been given. The event took place in an online conference set up last 17th of September 2020.

For two years in a row, Site Online Learning was recognised as one of the leading interactive design e-learning platforms across Australia and the Philippines. In 2019, the team bagged two awards in the Gold and Silver category, with Best Talent in Learning and Development and Best eLearning Design in Simulation, respectively. The team also placed as one of the finalists under the Best eLearning Design Game category.

This year, Site Online Learning received four major awards - three golds and a platinum recognition under the following criteria:

The team worked with a high calibre of innovation, catering and collaborating with the specific requirements of each clients in producing a stellar output. It was indeed no easy feat.


Red Ribbon Bakeshop is one of the largest and popular bakery chains in the Philippines, producing quality cakes and pastries with over 450 outlets in the country and 30 stores in the USA. The vision of the company was to provide an exceptional e-learning experience for their store managers, focused on honing their sales and product management skills.

The challenge: The team was tasked to eliminate the need for constant face-to-face training, while still maintaining a quality standard of engagement among the staff, restore the trust in online learning due to previous unpleasant experience, and minimising impact on normal operations for employees that require training.

The solution: Red Ribbon was presented a multi-sensory interactive course that stimulated real world experiences (such as in-store operations scenarios). By the end of the course, the learner would have been able to come up with a strategy to improve their local marketing solutions, minimising operation issues, resulting to a smoother customer experience and increased store sales. The team identified that by implementing a more realistic element, the learner connects better from the outset, allowing them to confidently resolve daily operation issues and make sound decisions in critical scenarios.




Universal Robina Corporation (URC) is one of the largest FMCG companies in the Philippines, operating for over 50 years, URC has cemented itself as a trailblazer in manufacturing through best-in-class technologies and processes. URC desires to start transitioning their training programs or courses from the traditional face to face training approach to an online, interactive video-based e-learning platform that can be easily accessed by its employees from different Business Units across the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

The challenge: The Site Online Learning team was tasked to update their face-to-face Business Ethics course and transform it to a highly engaging e-learning experience. Considering the relevance and importance of company ethics in such a time like this (COVID-19 pandemic), converting the course into e-learning will enable the company to reach and impact more employees across the different locations in less time. It is both resource and cost-effective approach. The project required delivering a highly detailed web-based SCORM compliant course on business ethics.

The solution: The team identified the gaps in knowledge, skills and the motivations that prevent learners from demonstrating appropriate behaviour and performance. In developing the interactive learning video, the team strategically broke down episodes into short video clips to highlight the important workplace scenarios and created a pathway for learners to make decisions with better clarity and logic. The content was delivered in bite sized pieces, making it more digestible for learners by organising the resources into different sections, encouraging a higher retention rate required for a course like business ethics. This was done by hiring professional film crew and actors to bring the storylines to life, with two post-production stages, one with rough cut scenes provided to URC and eventually rendering the video with the company’s branding, colour grading, sound effects and motion graphics.
